He could always do another version of Night in which he adds footage. And why did he never hook up with Rubenstein?nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Tue, 06 Feb 2007 16:36:09 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2659,from=rss#post2659https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2659,from=rss#post2659 nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Tue, 06 Feb 2007 08:18:20 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p768,from=rss#post768https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p768,from=rss#post768Hmmm. That's an idea. Perhaps incorporate Rubenstein or John Harrison. Maybe Russo would try to hire John Amplas to wash his car. Of course, our subject's ultimate power would lie in his inability to attract the attention of a studio x3!!!!!! About the Land review: after a few days, I realized that I didn't like the movie enough to review it. I wouldn't be able to cite the good things about the film. Sorry.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Sun, 07 May 2006 02:36:47 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p767,from=rss#post767https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p767,from=rss#post767For along time I thought the original Ben’s revenge poster was deleted, but no. I found it today on a old disc of backuped college work. SO YAY!!! READ-READ>>>>Anyways this could be something we could do on if/when Dead Rekindled (i may change the name too) comes back – a weekly post maybe. I have solved our problems with the legal bit too so I/you/we won't be sued by Russo and his aides. This is how it'll work, sort of like a story to build up the screen idea posts - A Romero fanboy in an attempt to make the ultimate horror movie abducts Romero, Savini, and Russo. He then takes DNA, er..from their spleens and mishmashes it with his own. He then sells them to a Polish slave farmer and believes there DNA-power is now spliced with his. Thinking that he's now the ultimate director, writer, and spx artist he sets about sending screen ideas to hollywood under the name Savini Romero-Russo. Unbeknownst to him however, Russo has escaped, kill the farmer with a garden rake and leaving Savini, and Romero with another slave farmer, but he’s is out for revenge. Savini Romero-Russo tells about this during his letters to hollywood. E.G. This week, John Russo cornered me in a hallway in Paramount Studio lot 9, with a mean look on his face, fists clenched and told me "DNA! I want mine back!" I walked up to him with great courage, then shot my load in his eye and ran off with hulk Hogan for some bowling. GOOD IDEA???? It'd certainly be different to the other 'dead' sites on the net. I say humour is what's missing. How about you? One more thing - that land review? Did you do it or not? nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Sat, 22 Apr 2006 22:20:45 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p766,from=rss#post766https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p766,from=rss#post766My first question: where the hell have I been all week that I would miss this? HOLY SHAT! You know, I may work on writing something along the lines of "Ben's Revenge". Then again, I may not. I could call it Night Part 1.4: Ben Of The Dead. The problem there is that the title implies that Ben might not have really died, or may have revived after the first film and remake.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Mon, 27 Mar 2006 05:01:56 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p765,from=rss#post765https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p765,from=rss#post765okay, when boredom like this hits I must act fast and create something...BEN GOES APESHIT - THE LONG-AWAITED SEQUEL TO BEN'S REVENGE. It seems that there may have been a real script for Children that largely pertained to the zombie ordeal, but the producer's daughter changed all that with the inclusion of Abbot Hayes. I guess she believed that the zombie sub-genre needs an icon, like the teen-death-opera sub-sub-genre has in the form of Jason Voorhees. Of course, the conclusion of Children does lead one to believe there will be sequels(ahem). Stupid b*tch. Another point of interest: One of the lead zombies in The Dead Hate the Living looks very much like Abbot Hayes. I've wondered if this is coincidence, or perhaps this is a duplicate. The other lead zombie of Dead Hate the Living is an homage to Fulci's obese zombie from the first boat scene of Zombie. Hmm? nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Wed, 28 Jul 2004 03:28:34 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p761,from=rss#post761https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p761,from=rss#post761God man, Abbot Fuckin' Hayes, what the hell was up with that guy. Although I've only seen this dreadful movie once, wasn't there a spot of bad casting when it came to Abbot. Why, I asked myself did they hire some fucking male model for Abbot in the flashback sequences. God this is stupid, what the hell am I on, I think all the casting was alful, though don't blame Russo, just the guy who directed the turkey and the writer, who from what I've read, was a nutty control freak, and she-devil, according to the director. nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Wed, 28 Jul 2004 02:04:30 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p760,from=rss#post760https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p760,from=rss#post760An American comedian recently suggested that we, as a nation, pick out one person and hate him. Hate his clothing, his mustache, his accent, and maybe everything else about the guy in order to focus our racism, regionalism, fashion sensibilities, and any other unreasonable form of hatred. All this would be done in the hope that we would be a little nicer to the rest of the humanity(except the ONE GUY, but maybe he's imaginary?). Here, John Russo becomes the ONE GUY. In reality, Sean Cunningham might better exemplify the evils that we associate with Russo. Still, I remember Abbot Hayes. Where was Russo the artist when Abbot Hayes was unleashed?nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Mon, 26 Jul 2004 05:00:31 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p759,from=rss#post759https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p759,from=rss#post759quote: wrote: The only thing that Russo seems to be good at is pimping his own products to the fanboys out there who haven’t figured out just what a hack he is. Actually, I don't hate Russo, either. What bothers me is that he seems to want to cash in on Night's success. I suppose he becomes the poster-child of those people in the horror genre that claim to be artists but are only waiting for a paycheck. Due to his involvement in the original Night, I believe he deserves a paycheck and a reputation to cash-in on. To his credit, I don't think he was closely involved in the demise of Children of the Poo-Poo God. Here is part of Russo's monument in Kitley's Tomb of Shame(an abandoned site?), entitled "John Russo-The Man, The Myth, The Pimp":   "My theory is that since Russo let himself get set on fire for the film, Romero & company figured they’d give him a screenwriter’s credit." While Kitley's site was being regularly updated, I suggested director/copycat Tommy Lee Wallace as a candidate for Kitley's Tomb of Shame. If there were to be a Night 2, there is a 30 percent chance that Wallace would be either writing or directing.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Mon, 26 Jul 2004 04:16:56 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p757,from=rss#post757https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p757,from=rss#post757Is it me or does the Ben Robot-zombie pic, top, make him look like a member of the jackson five clan?nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Mon, 26 Jul 2004 03:52:30 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p756,from=rss#post756https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p756,from=rss#post756Well, I don't really hate Russo, I just didn't like his involvement with Children, that's all. I have nothing against the guy; he's one of the innovators of the genre helping create Night. I'm sorry if this offends Russo or whoever else, but thought at the time it was funny. I must clarify I’m not a RUSSO-HATING nut job, just someone who got bored and did something creative with his free time. I also found this, another piece of Russo-hating material at zombiecentral.com and thought it was amusing -   Speaking of free time, in the music forum I asked people what they are listening to, so please tell us all. - Alex nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Mon, 26 Jul 2004 03:38:42 +0000 Re: Ben's Revenge - mock poster & letterhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p755,from=rss#post755https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p755,from=rss#post755Alex, you are my hero.
