truth in lies five: zombies on a boat.

my goodness. it is almost times for another truth in lies, even if i has to writs the blasted thing all on my own, like alex did on til4.

an homage to the unproduced day of the dead screenplay(the eight million dollar one), the setting is an island ruled by wealth, with controlled zombie troops, and an underclass that survives by serving the wealthy.

in the story, the mike morris character may or may not marry printz herry, who may or may not be a half-reptillian, and there may or may not be anal rapings.

again, if no one gets involved, im gonna do it all myself. dont make me angry(kidding).

Were you half drunk when you wrote that, Mike?

half-mad, with more showing than usual, sir. By all means, we should include the royle family in this latest story.... by some means.

I hope you (as Derek) don't think I've put you in it in my first post. You can put Dave in an equally awkward position. It's all fair play here, Mike. emoticon Just no gay porn or anything though. emoticon

Hope you don't mind the extra posts. I just wanted to kick this off with a good old boot up the arse. Felt like adding to it, so did. [sign in to see URL] set up Dave. You have free reign in molding what has become of him. Have a blast! emoticon

Re: truth in lies five: zombies on a boat.

no problemo. Gotta re-write my first one, though. Here's something for now:

WHAT ELAPSED FOR D. OKRA BETWEEN TIL4 AND TIL5, A MOTIVATIONAL BIT:

The music begins, but not all at once. It's not easy to play the keyboard without accompaniment, but when the backing track comes alive, it's close enough in BPM to make the players look skilled. Memorized sh**t music? Maybe they practiced beforehand; maybe not.

Anteebellum spirit and temporary Master of Ceremonies Hammond Trifles(but a spirit guide): "Derek Okra, y'all. Bring with the white girls and the gas-stop-in gut rot."

Derek Okra: "Hoolly-boolly, er-ah! Ham came to me in human form, but isn't human: not by a single molecule. He's a non-corporeal entity that's almost as old as time itself. He vacations out between the sun's photosphere and the planet Mercury. He convinced me to try serious dramatic acting, and thus I was, for a time, prince of the Canadian Outdoarman Yellow Snow Eating Channel's Weesel-Flouting Hour. I was Duckie, surely you saw me-the benefactor and comic relief. In the Territories, I was like the second coming of Monte Piethon.

Hoolly-boolly, er ah! Got a robot chef making me some sausage rolls with scallions and wild mushrooms. Gotta heat it up good, y'all: over 180 degrees Fahrenhytes! Use a meat thermometer to make sure! Hold up, y'all-there's some boy in here trying to sing bananya boate like Hiri Beltaflunky. (Wusso puts a death grip on the entertaining interloper and leads him away.)

Sorrow(my second uninvited spirit guide) advised me to try the visual arts. (Well, in truth, she never said as much. What really happened is that she offered me a disapproving look, which I interpreted on my own.) All a cock-up?, you ask. The pure impertinence of the subject matter-the straining blood vessels-the gaping primordial expression of the urethra-the tessies, holding all afloat on some crap ocean of a world that doesn't know if it's a nightmare, a hidden afterthought or what have you. Soon, I'll begin a new series of paintings with unicorns spearing everything in the animal kingdom, including peniseses, and then I'll move on to inanimate objects like ipeds.

Ham tries to convince me, in vain, that Sorrow is my anima come to life, and should be fed men from the University. I tell myself "self knowledge will only make you sad, Derek."

Jhon Wusso, self-promoter and semi-interested bystander of cheap horror films: "We need to start the new film soon. 'TO EAT A MOCKINGBIRD'S BRAINS'. Hint: the rabid dog can't be killed by bullets. Gonna be the best horror since Hitchcock woke up startled from the night terrors and shot at his housekeeper! Torn Rimsie, that producer chick with the Bergman fixation, and Saveeni are gonna make me a household name this time, finally, then my souvenir fake graveyard dirt business is gonna go PA-YOW!!"

Derek Okra: I finally see the original Citizen Unsympathetic film. Undead story from a vidio game, I'm told. Solid 6.5/10 stars. The star: the uber-femme Milka Sandwich. Where to start? Something inhuman about her, but I could love her, I believe. I try to paint her something(you know what), but my emotions overcome me. I had intended a picture of a (you know what) smoking a cigar, relaxing at a game of cards, with the obligatory yarbles resting on the green felt game table(destined for a rummage sale, after). I write on the back on the canvas: "I have always loved you. do you love me, Milka?", but otherwise there's nothing else on the canvas, anywhere. I put the canvas in an ignored corner of the stewdio and try to forget the whole thing."

Ham: "None of this is true. I want to hear some sailling songs with flutt and hirmonica, all of a sudden-like. Hey,
Derek: 'He who fights with munsters should be careful lest he thereby become a munster. And if thou gaze long into an abiss, the abiss will also gaze into you'. It's fun to sit and watch your molecules expire; you are the lice on the herry arse cheek of dignity and taste."

Derek Okra: "Must Hainted became very popular, but it also became difficult to control. Whilest posesst by spirit, the interactive audience feature put through helpful twatterings like 'please ask the gohst to hurl Derek from the roof, thnks in advance!!!' or the popular dranking game in which the audience swallows half a tumbler of beverage whenever I look confused while posesst. Plans for spin-ofs Must Quis Shoa and Must Reeltore Shoadown stall as prohduzers grapple with my public perception. I am not a jester or crassh test dummy!"

That was enjoyable. emoticon I've yet to read your first TIL 5 post, and am not sure what to expect after your motivational post there.

My thoughts are to come shortly.

Very good start, Mike. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. I've had a lot of control over things with the first posts and to follow them may have been daunting, especially if you haven't written for a while. Good effort overall. Well done emoticon . It's been at least 6 years since you've followed on from one of my post in a TIL story. Sort of crazy when you think of it like that. It seems like yesterday we were farting around on the first TIL story.

Question is - where do we take this? What will happen next? Where are we leading to?
My answer is to just go with flow, if works, go with it. If it doesn't start over, and move the story along in a different way. I remember feeling TIL 4 was really difficult because you were trapped in this idea of them being in prison. Never again. It just killed the story didn't it. We have to go in all sorts of directions with this.
Take the reins, [sign in to see URL] whatever you want. And I mean that also with Dave, my Character. I want you to say what he's been up to from Derek or whoevers perspective. There's obviously been some fall out with Dave and Derek. What happened? What did Dave do? Did Dave go mad again? Think on it. I'd love to see what you can come up with.

My next post will be coming at the weekend. Keep an eye out for it!

Cock art is the opiate of the masses!

-Alex
