Your signed Ultimate. Was it Region 1 or what? And does that tilt the balance of karma way out of your favor? I've since acquired the Divimax Official Romero Cut/Theatrical(it got WIIIIIIIDE release), Divimax Zombi(with commentary by the four cast members!), and most recently the 1997 "Original Director's Cut"/Long Version double-sided ancient Dawn(it's the staple of the Halloween film festival). That doesn't mention VHS... I specifically recall that Yahoo had banner ads for Dawn remake. Of course, the Undead group at Yahoo used a similar banner on their main page(probably not compensated). I believe there were some on other sites, but I don't recall which. And I'm not talking about the zombie film fanboy sites, either. REAL sites, with traffic that didn't know about the film. Why advertise to people that are going to see the film anyways? BTW: did you hear anything about the Boston bomb scare last week? Now that's advertising!nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Wed, 07 Feb 2007 21:38:58 +0000 Re: Okay, I have a small collection (images from my 'Dead' archive)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2664,from=rss#post2664https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2664,from=rss#post2664quote:abaddon1215 wrote: BTW: I'm about to finally get the Ultimate Dawn in the next two weeks. Dawn poster: Yeah, it's nice, but it would be a more fitting tribute if it had the classic tag line. They did a lot of online advertising for the remake didn't they? I remember seeing those banners all over. Yeah, I am a lucky bastard with reference to my signed Dawn DVD. That is one reason I want to bring the site back in well, a more precise, in depth and aesthetically pleasing form. The original brung so many bonuses. So bring it on. On Dawn advertising - I can't recall banners or anything, but I'm sure they (PR/ad agency) just let the fans publicise the film for promises of wait for it...t-shirts and caps! Cheeky bastards. nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Wed, 07 Feb 2007 06:55:41 +0000 Re: Okay, I have a small collection (images from my 'Dead' archive)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2660,from=rss#post2660https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2660,from=rss#post2660Actually I only have the one disc Divimax Day, because I was mislead when I purchased it. If you remember there was a bit of furor on the forums(was it only Stefan and myself?) about it, so I bought it the moment I saw it on the shelf. But no one told me there was a one disc version. Had to find out the hard way when I got home with the single disc. BTW: I'm about to finally get the Ultimate Dawn in the next two weeks. It won't be signed by anyone, but I'll have it. I'll FINALLY get to hear the Rubenstein commentary track. Long story short, I have no idea about the two disc SE. I would guess that it does, though. It's supposed to have so much.... P.s. were these included anywhere on the American special edition DVD for Day? They weren't on the british version, so it has me wondering. Also, what do you make of the first Dawn '04 poster. A fitting tribute to Dawn '78, no?nondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Tue, 06 Feb 2007 06:59:53 +0000 Re: Okay, I have a small collection (images from my 'Dead' archive)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2651,from=rss#post2651https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2651,from=rss#post2651The drawing based on the original Day script: AWESOME. So it was that close to becoming a reality... It was very Land of the Dead, much more than the Day that was filmed. Should've happened, because I'd like to have seen where else the story may have gone-something more fulfilling than "eat the rich".nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Tue, 06 Feb 2007 00:05:28 +0000 Okay, I have a small collection (images from my 'Dead' archive)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2650,from=rss#post2650https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2650,from=rss#post2650...not so much of Romero, but just random stuff pulled from the web which I thought was interesting. Found these on a disc last week. As far as I'm aware the the Dawn 04 production comps have only been on the web once on ebay. I chanced upon the auction and copied the jpeg files of the posters. Look familiar? Production drawing of the camp from the original Day script. An old photoshop from a forum along time ago. not mine, but I thought it was funny enough to keep. er...this one is just odd. those shades. what was she thinking! and lastly.. This zombie is how i look with my cold at the moment, though, it could be birdflu. Latersnondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Mon, 05 Feb 2007 19:42:12 +0000
