Well, they HAD those to contend with, that is, in the week prior to the DVD's release. This ad campaign is designed to boost the film's home release, but I doubt it will work very well.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Tue, 25 Oct 2005 04:20:06 +0000 Land trailer on US TVhttps://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2596,from=rss#post2596https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p2596,from=rss#post2596Since the weekend, I've seen two different trailers(FX and Spike TV, both in primetime). In the first trailer, everyone says "we've got to get out of this city", and the zombies are shown crossing the river to the city.(Note: the zombie make-ups display varying facial colors, some of which are far too healthy) This trailer is quite weak. No historical context. No mention of political subtext. In the second tailer, the zombies are shown crossing the river(again). The narrator says something about the world being full of the living dead. "From the master of terror..", says the narrator, and, as with the first trailer, there is no mention of Night, Dawn, or Day. Finally, Dennis Hopper is shown saying, "Zombies really creep me out". Bad trailers creep me out. Cute, but not a good sell. I believe that the ad campaign will damage the film. The film will sink like a stone rather than make a splash thanks to inept ad-meisters with short attention spans. One good thing, I don't recall hearing any nifty numetal or Kid Rocksmoker tunes during the trailer.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Tue, 14 Jun 2005 03:01:44 +0000
