This scene from Dawn is shown in a Tales from the Darkside television episode, as well. The movie is referred to as 'Kiss of the Spider-Woman'.

Also: I see a Dawn remake trailer every night on television. It shows a population count of 700,000. At the end of the trailer the population count is only 7. Many scenes are quickly shown. There are various voices, as well. One of the voices says,'those that are killed get up and kill' which is what the government representative said in a television studio scene in the original Dawn. Yahoo posted banner-ads for the remake several days ago. The Homepage of the Dead has posted a rumor that the opening 15 minutes of the Dawn remake will be shown on U.S. televion March 15.

The official Dawn Remake site is now online: http://[sign in to see URL] It also shown a countdown of the population. It all looks very cool, but I'm afraid we cannot count on splatters. Fast moving zombies, fast splatters, that's what I think. It looks stupid if you use a huge splatter by a fast moving creature, this just doesn't match. In 28 Days Later this is confirmed, no splatters. It happens fast while in Dawn '78, slow moving zombies have splatters.

I like the 'countdown trailer' for several reasons. Some of the dialogue is very much like what is used in the original Dawn. Many of these lines establish an atmosphere of impending apocalypse. What I dislike about the trailer: the zombies are shown to be like those in 28 Days Later(running zombies which make dog-like noises) and House of the Dead(leaping zombies).

Perhaps there will be light-splatters, such as the head-shot in Jason Goes To Hell and Dr. Logan's death in Day.

I have also heard that there will be a few slow zombies in the Dawn remake, as well. The idea is this: bodies that have been dead a long time will move slowly, and bodies that have been dead a short time will move quickly.

I read a review of the Dawn Remake on IMDB. No society commentary and no isolation sense but it was scary according to him. I'm still curious, this remake will be very good or very bad I think.

The film is R rated: Rated R for pervasive strong horror violence and gore, language and sexuality.
What do they mean with pervasive strong horror violence? What's the difference between this and just strong horror violence?

Usage of the word pervasive tells movie-goers that the movie is full of strong horror violence. The violence is very necessary in a film like Dawn of the Dead which shows the death of society.

I believe the remake will be good and bad. The visual style of the remake will certainly be unlike the original film. The remake might show scenes of the falling society.

I wonder: Did the MPAA claim that House of the Dead contained pervasive horror violence?

I just wanna see that remake, hopefully it comes here in cinemas too just as the TCM remake. I can't wait.

Here we haven't MPAA but the Kijwijzer (Watch-guide). A lot of films were wrong rated by them. For example Starship Troopers, a pretty violent film about soldiers against an army of huge insects. Full of severed head, limbs, etc. Well, this movie was rated for 12 (In the US this would be PG-13 I guess). In other words, this movie appeared on TV on [sign in to see URL], pretty ealry huh?

Two different trailers were aired on television Monday night. The first trailer showed a bit of carnage, and the zombies beating against the mall's windows. The second trailer showed a press conference: a government representative speaks to reporters about the zombies.

Our MPAA is not all bad. The current Dawn re-release is rated R.

Starship Troopers has been aired on U.S. TV as early as 21:00. I do not know if the movie was edited for TV. There was much violence, but very little blood. Also, the violence is not pervasive; the violence is confined to battle and fighting scenes.

Dawn R-rated? On this site it's NR, not rated: [url][sign in to see URL]

You are correct. [sign in to see URL] incorrectly stated that the new Dawn release is rated R. However, they also stated that Dawn is not available for sale to persons under 18 years of age.
