Re: Demons 2

Another weird thing in part 7: Jason was taken down the lake by the father of Tina:

1. How did he came back to life?
2. I guess the police must have took away the body after he was drown.

Does Tina appear in other Friday movies? I saw her in House II.

In Friday 8, Jason Taken Manhattan. How does Jason revive in does part. And is he still on the botton of the lake hold tide by the father of Tina?

You make a good point-the body of Tina's father would not be in the lake at the end of the movie. The police would have retrieved the man's body.

The actress that portrayed Tina is listed as appearing in: Princess Academy, Friday part 7.

Friday part 8 begins with Jason chained to the rock in the bottom of the lake. A boat snags an electrical wire as it passes by. This wire touches Jason, and he revives.

DAWN REMAKE TRAILER ON US TV!!! This is hard to believe-I almost missed it! This was aired on a cable channel, Comedy Central, at 9:45 pm.

A Dawn remake trailer on TV? Cool! How long was the trailer and which one? The old or the new one? Was it cut because the two trailers I've seen are pretty long each.

When the TCM trailer came it came only late at night and it was pretty short.

9:45 in the morning? This it pretty early. Here in Holland trailers of these films are aired pretty late.

I saw the trailer at 9:45 evening(21:45). It was very short. The mall is shown once, then a shotgun, and then Ving Rhames says something("what we've go to do.."?). At this time, I was typing the message listed here about the beginning of Friday part 8. I have also heard that the short trailer was shown three hours later during the comedy program 'Saturday Night Live' on NBC. The film is set for official release in the U.S. on March 19.

But isn't the trailer a bit early yet, 19 March is one month later. Here the movie is gonna be released 1 April.

The DVD of the TCM remake, is this DVD already released in the US? I'm wondering which extras it will have, I heard it was a 2 disc DVD.

There is a trailer being aired now for a movie called Secret Windows. This movie is set for release on March 12. The trailer has been shown for more than a week already. This is also true of Agent Cody Banks part 2.

Of the films being advertised now, Dawn remake is the only film that will appeal to the young adult audience. I think the remake will be very successful.

TCM remake 2-disc DVD will be released on March 30 in the U.S.
Features: collectible metal cover, crime city photos, deleted scenes, alternate opening and closing, behind-the-scenes documentary, an Ed Gein documentary, cast screen tests, art gallery, movie script, 7 different trailers, a music video, and commentary featuring producer Michael Bay and director Marcus Nispel.

A Dawn of the Dead book is scheduled to be released on March 1. George Romero and Susanna Sparrow are credited as the authors.

The book review was incorrect: it stated that "this is the book that spawned the cult film". It is obvious that this is untrue. This book is Romero's way of earning extra money because of the remake. It seems that the book tells the on-screen story of Dawn.

And are there photos included? Are you gonna buy that book?

About the Tales from the Darkside. Romero did the screenplay in the segment of the cat. If someone does the screenplay, what is he doing then?

The book review did not mention pictures. I will certainly buy this book.

A screenplay is the usually the first thing done in a movie production. This means that Romero spent a week or two writing, and then got paid for this before the movie was made. Also, this means that Romero did not participate in the filming.

Are you asking 'what is a screenplay'?

Here is the beginning of the original Dawn screenplay. This is a long passage, but we know where this appears in the movie:
(The working draft 1977)
by George A. Romero

We see the face of a young woman. She is asleep. It is very quiet at first, as credits appear. The woman’s face begins to twitch, as though she is having a bad dream. She moans slightly and her expression grows more desperate.

A mix of subtle sounds begin to fade in. As they get louder, we can discern what sounds like a busy office area. It is actually a frantic television studio with the hum of panic in a national emergency.

The woman’s moans get louder and more desperate as the background sounds reach full volume and the credits stop. The woman sits up, snapping awake.

She lurches forwards into the arms of a strong young man. She is Francine, twenty three years old and very attractive, although she is gritty with dirt. Her hair is hanging, dishevelled and sweaty. Her jeans and blouse have been worn for several days.

She is sitting on the floor, where she has slept the last several hours, covered by an old overcoat.

Here is a link to the dawn screenplay. The original Day screenplay is posted on this site, as well:
