Re: Demons 2

But what about that woman in the green shirt, she handed in the tickets and she was shining with a flash light in the theatre, she must also worked for that freak in his mask.
Another thing about that man in that mask: why would he trying to stop the girl and the boy on the roof? The only reason I can imagine is because he didn't want to let them away because they would have gone to the police or something, but the demons already broke out in the whole city.

About that girl who went to the theatre, first she was scared but after she noticed the man was handing out free tickets she wasn't scary any more.

About the demon coming out, in Demons 2 there also a monster coming out, this was a very funny one.

The woman in the green shirt said something about being told to manage the theatre's opening. She must have been asked to do this by someone other than the man in the mask(because he does not talk).

The man in the mask probably wanted the girl and boy to die because they had not become demons.

It seems that someone wanted the world to be overtaken by demons. This person had not planned very well. The masked turned people into demons; if the black woman had not touched the mask, no one would have became a demon.

Another thing: after the boy and the girl killed the guy in the mask on the roof they went downstairs. There was a car ready for them, why didn't they took it? They already knew the demons took over the city because the saw a high rise building with some demons in it.

About that black woman and the mask. If she hadn't touched the mask maybe the demons came out of the screen like they did in Demons 2.

What do you think about the special effects, I think they were really good, Sergio Stivaletti is really good, next to Savini.

That chopper that came trough the roof:
- most choppers will explode when they fall,
- and why did the chopper fell down?

Where was the man with the mask while the people watched the movie?

I like Stivaleti's effects very much. I think his work is the best part of Demons part 1.

About the chopper: If it had no fuel, it would not explode when it crashed. I do not believe this was the reason that it crashed. It makes no sense. Lamberto Bava said that he did not know why the crash happened. As the movie's director, why would he film this scene without knowing how it fits into the movie?

That man with the mask was probably on the roof so he could oversee the whole situation (if there were windows), maybe he enjoyed it. I would, because of the hilarious acting.

In Demons 1 Sergio had more chances, in Demons 2 wasn't much gore. My favo effects were the teeth that fell out and replaced by rotten teeth.

The chopper, Demons is a B-movie. There was no special reason why the demons appeared in part one and two. So why would there be a reason why the chopper fell trought he roof? The chopper could have run out of fuel. I think this is possible: maybe they heard trough the radio the demons broke out and they dicided to stay in the air as long as possible. They discovered they run out of fuel and they tried to land on the roof of the theatre. But the landing was too quick so they came trough the roof. Or maybe the man in the mask shot them down with a gun, but I don't think this makes sense. According to me the death of the guy in the mask was a bit stupid. I prefer if they just threw the guy in the theatre and then the demons torn him apart, this would be better. Again it's unclear he didn't spoke.

Good answer!emoticon

I laughed at the scene in Demons 2 when Sally became a demon. She clawed a boy's arm. The boy screamed and looked over at one of his friends. I don't think that this boy is a bad actor, but it is funny.

I have seen a documentary about Dario Argento. There is a scene in which he sits on the helicopter in the theater from Demons part 1. He says(in Italian) that he does not know if people will enjoy Demons part 1.

About Demons 3: Lamberto Bava made this film. In the U.S., it is now called Demons 3: The Ogre. Umberto Lenzi also made a film with this title, but it was renamed to: Black Demons(in Italy, it is still called Demons 3 because of bad copyright laws). Dario Argento made a film that he intended to name 'Demons 3', but he changed this to 'The Church' before the film was released.

I've also seen that documentary, it was included on my Demons 2 dvd. I've have both dvds released by platina edition.

About the sequels of Demons. Well, I've found a list on a Dutch horror site and they said that after Demons 2 every Italian maker wanted to make another sequel. They did but I guess they've lost the count:

1985 Demoni (Lamberto Bava, Dario Argento)

1986 Demoni 2 (Lamberto Bava, Dario Argento)

1989 Demons 3 (Michele Soavi, Dario Argento), Demons 5 (Lamberto Bava) en Demons 6 (Luigi Cozzi)

1991 Demoni 3 (Umberto Lenzi), Demons 4 (Michele Soavi, Dario Argento)

1994 Demons '95 (Michele Soavi)

I do not understand why Italy does not change it's copyright laws. Fulci's Zombi 2 looks really bad, especially when compared to Dawn.

I guess the sequels are titled differently in America. I have found a store which sells Demons '95 and Bava's Demons 3. Was there no Demons 4 in 1989?

Re: Demons 2

After Demons 2 was made all directors began to make deals who was going to make a sequel. I think the one of Umberto Lenzi is un official. Why part 5 earlier than part 4? I think Soavi was earlier with the deal of making a fourth sequel then Bava so Bava had to make a fifth sequel. But I think Bava was done earlier but the contract said Bava's sequel would be sequel 5 no matter if it's released earlier or not. That's what I think.

Why don't you gonna buy Demons '95 and Demons 3? Are they on dvd and how for how much $?

These films are on DVD, and do not cost much(20$). I am not sure if they contain extras. I have not bought these yet, because I am trying to get so many other DVDs. There are more than 100 DVD's on my wish-list.
