Re: Demons 2

The version of Demons 2 I bought was an import version. It was from the UK I think. Some nice extras, no Dutch subtitles of course but this wasn't a big problem. After all, in this kind of movies the emphase is on what happens, not what people say to each other.

Both Demons films are very action-oriented. When characters talk, they are doing something as well which explains everything. Every word of dialogue could be removed from the film without doing any harm.

I must say Demons is not what they call a typical Italian trash movie like Zombie, Burial Ground etc. Did Demons had a higher budget?

Re: Demons 2

It seems that producers aimed Demons 1 at a big audience, that it has many things people will want to see. They must also decide how to let people know what good stuff is in the movie before anyone has seen it. This is marketing. In the U.S., a film's market value is considered by producers before a screenplay is completed. Demons probably seemed like a good investment to producers, so the film may have had more money than most Italian horror productions.

Re: Demons 2

I've seen Demons 1. [sign in to see URL] think Demons 2 is better. Maybe because when I saw Demons 1 I knew everything about it and it wasn't a suprise to me. This movie was a lot gorier than Demons 2. That scene when the boy on the motorbike with his samourai sword, this was a really great scene. I also loved the end, when the demons took over the whole city. Who was exactly that guy on the roof? He also distributed the tickets. The end when the demons took over the whole place, it looked like 28 Days Later. Again it was laughable when I saw that little kid with his shotgun. Too bad they didn't continued with this in Demons 2.
It was a cool movie, but I enjoyed Demons 2 more. I'm sure if I saw Demons 1 first I enjoyed this movie more.

I saw Demons 2 first, as well, but I like part 1 more. I also thought the ending of part 1 and 2 are somewhat silly.

I think the end of part one is okay. Maybe it would be better if the guy committed suicide after his girlfriend had turned into a demon and was shot by a kid with a shotgun. Or maybe it would be better if the girled didn't turned into a demon after all.
In Demons 3, have the demons took over the whole world?

Re: Demons 2

My biggest problem with the ending of Demons part 1 is the girl turning into a demon. If the producer/director thought that the girl's death was important, why not have the guy on the roof kill her? This would have been better, because the man had scared her at the beginning of the movie, and this seemed to be why the girl went to the theater. It is very strange.

What is the purpose of the television studio in the end of Demons part 2? It looks like the recreation room from the star ship Enterprise. It is not logical that this studio had anything to do with the demons appearing in the apartment building.

I have not seen part 3 yet.

Re: Demons 2

Who was that guy in that mask? If he would appear in more movies he would be a horror star like Freddy and Leatherface. It would be cool, especially because Italian movies haven't any of those stars.
And what do you think of this: in Demons 1 there was also a blind man in the theatre, doesn't sound logical.
I think this movie has some nice ideas. That scene of the boy who was turning into a demon, asking his friend for killing him, was okay but is wasn't worked out so good. Too bad that black guy died so fast, I really liked him because in Demons 2 he was also very funny by shouting: QUIET! QUIET!

Black Guy: COME ON NOW PEOPLE!

The man in the mask wanted to turn everyone into demons, but he must have been working for someone else. How and why did he make a movie about the prophecy? This mask is what turns people into demons-not the movie.

I also do not understand why the girl went to theater. She was very scared before the man gave her the ticket.

Also in part 1: Why did a little demon emerge from the girl in the lobby? This did not happen anywhere else in the movie.
