Unfortunately, there was some sort of malfunction and the post wasn't posted. That f*cking sucked. To Stefan: The Story of Ricky looks like a very interesting B-movie. Recently, I saw a Japanese film called Reborn From Hell: Samurai Armageddon. This movie had a bit of gore, but it was unexpectedly funny as well. There was a male character that had foresaken women in order to master the spear. The evil warlord finally tempts this man by offering him a beautiful naked woman. The spear-master has sex with the woman, and before he finishes, he begs the warlord to kill him in his happiest moment. The warlord tries to assemble a small band of undead martial arts masters, but inevitably he fails. The special effects were badly done but very gory. The last fight sequence of the film features a decapitation-I have rarely laughed so much as I did when I saw this. It is possible that the Story of Ricky was released in America under another name. Can you list some of the film's credits? About the profane words: In my experience, sh*t and damn can be equally rude. As you wrote, the tone of these words makes a big f*cking difference.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Tue, 23 Mar 2004 04:47:24 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1528,from=rss#post1528https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1528,from=rss#post1528plz...start some new threads or these forums will fucking die!! kind regards, knightsnondisclosed_email@example.com (knights)Tue, 23 Mar 2004 02:01:52 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1527,from=rss#post1527https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1527,from=rss#post1527Do you know the movie the Story of Ricky aka Riki-oh? It's a kungfu movie in jail. It's VERY gory and funny. It's about Ricky who is sent to jail because he killed the murderer of his friend. Once he get there a lot of people are against him, but when he fights he can punch right to a person's body, pretty gory. Even a head gets crushed by a man's hands And one of the most unbelievable scenes. A guy tries to strangle Ricky with his own guts: About the word f*ck. Here you can use it to a friend without insulted to him. You can say 'f*ck you' to a friend showing him you totally do not agree with him. It only depends on the tone you say it. I was wondering: which word is according to you more rude: 'sh*t' or 'damn'? Or does is not make any difference? Also, I hear that this word will soon be allowed on television. However, there are rules as to how the word can be used. A character will be allowed to say: "Hey, stupid f*cker, give me some f*cking water." The character will NOT be allowed to say: "You are a cute girl; let's f*ck." There have been different DVD types: some have the film with deleted scenes as extras, while other DVDs have an option of watching the film with the deleted scenes included in their original sequence. The DVD version of the Dawn remake will probably include the R-rated theatrical version with the Un-rated deleted scenes included as extras. It is common for American stores to ignore the MPAA's ratings. I bought Maniac(which is un-rated) on-line without being asked about my age. I don't know yet what happens to Ving Rhames. I will try to see the remake next week.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Sun, 21 Mar 2004 05:28:21 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1523,from=rss#post1523https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1523,from=rss#post1523I remember a dream some weeks ago, I dreamed of Demons. It was really funny: there were demons in out school and we ran to the gym of our school were we took baseball bats the beat the crap out of the demons When I was young I was afraid of such dreams, now I just see it as an adventure When the DVD of the remake comes out, is it usual it will have two versions on it: R and X-rated version? I also saw this on the DVD of TCM 3 and Bride of Re-Animator. Why would people do this? If someone buys TCM 3 for example you won't expect he'll watch the R-rated version. Here in Holland Bride of Re-Animator appeared in stores some weeks ago, with no extras but with the uncut version because here it doesn't matter. I you show the R-rated version and the X-rated version both movies will be rated here above the 16. I guess the people which are bitten becomes zombies pretty fast. In the original it took some days. What about Ving Rhames? On a picture I saw he was wounded, bitten? I thought Zombie 2 and Zombie Flesh Eaters were the same. Also known as Zombie but in Europse Dawn of the Dead is called Zombie - Dawn of the Dead. I've never heard of Nielsen TV rating, probably this is only in the USA. The girl crashes into a three? I guess this was because a zombie jumped on the car, I saw this on a picture. When are you going to te remake or have you already seen it?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Stefan Rops)Sat, 20 Mar 2004 09:16:40 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1522,from=rss#post1522https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1522,from=rss#post1522I have had a few zombie dreams. Ten years ago, I dreamed of hiding in a hospital and there were fast zombies. My dream was inspired by Return of the Living Dead. I saw this movie during it's original theatrical run, and it scared me very much. This was my first experience of a zombie movie. As we exited the theater, I asked my parents "can this happen?" At that time, I was six years old, so I did not understand the comedy within the film. The only thing I understood was the horror of dead people feeding on living people. About the girl: She is shown once as human and then once as a zombie. The conversation that she has with the nurse reveals the girl to be a neighbor's child. However, the conversation implies that the nurse might have a child. When the girl is initially shown as a zombie, the scene is dark and it is difficult to see if it is the neighbor's child. The identity of the girl zombie could be misunderstood. Zach Snyder mentioned that there are a lot of deleted scenes. I think there might be a bit of extra footage that explains the identity of the girl of zombie. The nurse sees her friend as a zombie. It is he that chases the nurse out of her house and into her car. He pursues the car until he spots another human standing beside the street(this is a cool peice of footage, it is somewhat funny). The nurse's friend is bitten by the girl. Within three minutes of being bitten, he becomes a zombie. When the nurse realized that her friend had become a zombie, she did not seem sad. In fact, she did everything logical to get away from him. This is uncommon in a horror film-for a woman to react without emotion in such a terrible situation. I think she might see him later, because this would be dramatic. No matter what number of zombies surround the mall, she would be affected if she saw her friend again. How she expresses this could be interesting. Or likely not because this is an mainstream American film. About the pregnant lady: That is sick shit. I remember this topic. I meant to write Zombie(as in Fulci's Zombi 2) instead of Zombie Flesh Eaters. Sorry for the misunderstanding. If the pregnant lady scene had been in Zombie, the lady would be totally naked as she attempts to give birth. I believe a pregnant lady scene could happen in the Dawn remake, but with no gore. The mainstream American audience loves carnage, but they also have rules about gore and violence. The USA Network showed the Dawn remake footage. It is probably the first time that movie footage(other than trailers) has been shown on TV before the movie's release. I think the network paid the movie producers for the footage. It was shown in a commericial(advertisement) break during a movie. During the movie, a regular amount of advertisements were shown PLUS an additional 20 minutes of ads! This is valuable for the movie producers as advertising, but it also helps the network increase it's ratings. (A side question: are you familiar with Nielsen TV ratings or is this exclusive to the USA?) Monday nights are very important for TV producers, because it usually has the biggest audience. The footage ends with the nurse crashing her car into a tree. There will probably be much more footage of the zombie's overtaking the city before the mall is shown.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Sat, 20 Mar 2004 05:16:49 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1521,from=rss#post1521https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1521,from=rss#post1521Last night I was dreaming about that I was in a mall and there were zombies all over the place, pretty scary so I guess the movie could be good. It's a mainstream film but still I think it will good because it can have some nice scares. You said the girl could be killed but you haven't seen it. Is this because it looks like there was a deleted scene in the footage which was aired? I'm afraid of the following: I'm not sure of course but if it happens it would be pretty weak. If the nurse sees her friend back as a zombie. Why do I think this would be weak: used in too many other movies and the chance she sees him back is very small because I saw over a 1000 zombies outside. But I'm prett sure this happens in the movie. Remember when we were talking about Zombie Flesh Eaters. Alex came with a scene that a zombie baby bursts out of his mother's belly and I'm not sure it was you who said: sounds like a deleted scene from Zombie Flesh Eaters. Well, in the trailer I saw there was something wrong with the pregnant woman, maybe it happens... The company which sent out that remake footage must have been paid a lot of money. Here in Holland this would never happen. The only footage we see of upcoming movies are trailers. One last thing, I'm just curious, but how does that footage ends? Is the girl already in the mall?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Stefan Rops)Fri, 19 Mar 2004 09:17:09 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1520,from=rss#post1520https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1520,from=rss#post1520As I write this, the time is 20:00 March 18. The Dawn remake will hit theaters tomorrow, and I probably will not get a chance to see it until next week. Nevertheless, I will rate the footage I have seen. I think the remake will not be better than 5, 6, or 7(at the most) of ten stars. The remake is a mainstream American film, so the gore will not take center-stage as much as in Italian zombie movies. Still, the gore looks good. I rate the gore 9 of 10 stars. I think there will be flaws in the film's story, like the girl zombie that attacks the nurse. I believe there might be a deleted scene of the girl being killed. The R-rated theatrical cut looks worse without this story information. About the supplies: I think the mall would have very many supplies. Someone in the group might need special medication.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Fri, 19 Mar 2004 04:30:21 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1519,from=rss#post1519https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1519,from=rss#post1519This remake will be or very bad or very good I think. With very good I don't mean it will be better than the original. I'm convinced the remake won't be better then the original, that's for sure but I think it will be very good. In a trailer I saw there were over a 1000 zombies outside the man. I heard they have to leave the mall because the zombies could brake in any minut. I also saw a scene of they were driving in a truck trough a mass of zombies. I think the movie will be that the try to do things, get more suplies and that with each action a few of the group will die intil there are just some of them left. Although this is seen in a lot of other horror movies it can work out well. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Stefan Rops)Thu, 18 Mar 2004 17:23:24 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1518,from=rss#post1518https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1518,from=rss#post1518The scene of the nurse's friend being killed is very cool. The bite looks like something from the original Dawn or Day. It happens quickly, but skin can be seen stretching and tearing. The nurse escapes through the bathroom. About the people leaving the mall: you ask a very good question. Perhaps they leave the mall because they need supplies(medicines, food or bullets). They zombies may have broken into the mall, chasing the people out. It might take a very long time for a zombie to rot enough to not be considered a threat.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Thu, 18 Mar 2004 04:12:49 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1517,from=rss#post1517https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1517,from=rss#post1517The scene when the nurse's friend gets killed by the little girl, is this gory? All things considered, the cause might be very similar to the original Dawn. The child zombie is not the nurse's daughter. The girl belongs to the nurse's neighbors. It is not clear how she becomes a zombie, but it apparently happened during the nighttime(she is wearing bedclothes). The police are not shown firing at anyone. It seems that the footage occurs as the zombies begin to spread, so the police have not yet had the chance to shoot any zombies. The zombies are very much like the Infected from 28 Days Later. Take note that these fast zombies are freshly dead. Perhaps, after a few days, these zombies will begin to rot and then they will slow down. These zombies also make gutteral noises that are similar to the sounds of the Infected. ALSO: A familiar chopper is shown flying over the city. It is not shown closely, but brown decals are visible on it's side. It looks very much like the WGON chopper. This might not be relevant to the remake; it might simply be a brief homage to the original Dawn.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Wed, 17 Mar 2004 04:11:14 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1515,from=rss#post1515https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1515,from=rss#post1515Cool man! I watched this starting with the scene of Miguel being bitten. I HAVE SEEN THE FIRST TEN MINUTES OF THE DAWN REMAKE. This was shown mere moments ago-22:00. I managed to record this on VHS. Much of this footage is Sarah Polley's introduction, but soon enough she has to fight zombies. The zombies were very fast! There are a lot of zombies chasing people. There is also a big camera shot of the city which shows a little carnage. It is very chaotic. There are car accidents. Police vehicles and ambulances are racing through the streets. Day on TV? 15:00-17:00? Pretty early again, I guess there were commercials between the movie. The version would be two hours else. Was it cut? I was on IMDB.com and I saw a review of the Dawn Remake. Some of his remarks: - those looking for a lot of zombie action will be extremely happy, and the amount of zombies is crazy. very little CGI effects are used - Zack Snyder has done an exceptional job for his first film, and he shoots each zombie attack very clearly, without the dizzying camera shots or quick editing found in 28 Days Later - this film has many memorable moments - the zombies found here are pretty scary, armed with great make-up and intense as hell, making for edge-of-your seat action sequences - old-school zombie fans should be very pleased - And last but not least: there are plenty of zombie head gun shots, and the level of blood and gore is rather high for a hollywood movie The last remark makes me already satisfied, I just wanna see that movie. I just saw it will come in theaters here on the 29th of April. Some later, the 6th of May there will be a so-called All Night Horror Show. I thought they didn't came anymore but luckily we can sit down the whole night watching horror movies. I have heard that Argento's cut has extra footage and cuts. About the U.S. theatrical cut: This version was shown in many U.S. theaters instead of the Director's cut. The U.S. theatrical cut was the only version of Dawn available on VHS in the U.S. for many years(possibly until 1995). It is an edited version of the Director's Cut. The U.S. theatrical cut contains only footage that was used in the Director's Cut. Again, I say-Anchor Bay should forget the U.S. theatrical cut. I have not heard of a wide-screen release of the U.S. theatrical cut, but this could be done because this version was made and shown in wide-screen format in theaters. About the smiling girl: I was incorrect about this girl. Her face is not shown smiling. Also, she appears in both the U.S. theatrical cut and the Director's Cut. Whoops. You may have seen this girl. She wears a yellow knitted hat and is standing behind Peter when he shoots Wooley. There is something strange about her. She is shown several times, and she only looks at Peter. In the last time she is shown, she places her hands over her mouth. She should be shocked by what has happened, but she seems to be covering a smile as she watches Peter walk away. I thought that she did not appear in the U.S. theatrical cut, but I was wrong. The problem was that the picture quality of the U.S. theatrical cut on VHS is very bad, so I had not noticed the girl until I saw the Director's Cut.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Sat, 13 Mar 2004 05:31:28 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1509,from=rss#post1509https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1509,from=rss#post1509Yes, that's right. I guess this is only in the US cut. You haven't seen the Argento's cut. Check this link: Dawn Pictures You'll see some shots of the Argento's cut I made for that guy's site. For example the first two. The second one: the zombie in the yellow shirt who was shot in the stomach with a few of Roger's M-16 bullets gets shot in the Argento's cut. About the widescreen presentation, I doubt it's true widescreen. I hope this is the director's cut. nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Thu, 11 Mar 2004 03:43:53 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1505,from=rss#post1505https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1505,from=rss#post1505I'm lloking to the extras. Nothing special I guess, the SE of Day has much more extras. I guess this DVD isn't even dubble disc. • Widescreen Presentation enhanced for 16x9 TVs • Audio Commentary with Writer-Director George A. Romero, Special Makeup Effects Artist Tom Savini, and Assistant Director Chris Romero. Moderated by Perry Martin. • Comic Book Preview • George A. Romero Bio • Poster & Advertising Gallery • Theatrical Trailers • TV Spots • Radio Spots I also see there is only one version on it. Most of these features are also on my dubble disc DVD only the audio commentary and the review of the comic book. Which version is it?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Stefan Rops)Wed, 10 Mar 2004 16:46:00 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1504,from=rss#post1504https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1504,from=rss#post1504A few days ago, I heard that the Windows XP operating system can change the region code for a DVD drive. It is very easy to do, but the operating system will only allow you to do this FOUR TIMES. Also, Wal-Mart(the largest store chain in the U.S.) claimed that Dawn of the Dead was out-of-stock 12 hours after it was released.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Wed, 10 Mar 2004 04:40:23 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1503,from=rss#post1503https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1503,from=rss#post1503The Argento's cut is pretty cool, especially the music. In Europe we region 2. I hate those regions. I'm still looking for my computer region player, hope it's all regions. I heard old players will play all regions. i've already checked the DVD player of my parents, region 2 only. If I find out if one of the other players (on my computer and the one on my father's computer) will play other regions like region 1 I'll order the SE DVD of Day from an international store. Aother movie I've just ordered is The Story of Ricky: a very violents fighting movie about Ricky in a prison in the future.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Stefan Rops)Tue, 09 Mar 2004 13:16:51 +0000 Re: Texas Chainsaw Cash-Grab(a true story!)https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1502,from=rss#post1502https://bthedeadtalkdeadrekindledforums.runboard.com/p1502,from=rss#post1502Finally, I will have the opportunity to see Argento's cut! About the trilogy set region code: If you found this set in a store in a European country, then the region code is most likely region 2(? if this is Europe's region code). I have recently heard of computer software which breaks DVD region codes and allows users to copy DVDs. One program called DVD XCOPY also allows users to remove features when copying a DVD.nondisclosed_email@example.com (abaddon1215)Sun, 07 Mar 2004 04:15:16 +0000
