Darn, those images don't appear. Well, check the link so you can see the scenes anyway.

Yeah. That looks like the extra scene that was mentioned in the script. This was an important scene because it shows the family killing only for food. The victims appear to be fans of college football. That was a more important detail in the script, too. The scene emphasizes that the family usually kills people that are somewhat rich, like people of the Texas oil dynasties.

It's a shame that I haven't gotten to see the scene, yet, because it looks really violent... I want to see how Savini handles this unrestricted gore.

The text on the site says that these pics are from an Irish release of TCM 2, and the MGM box is pictured. Is this what you have, Stefan?

Yes, that's the one I've got and no, these scenes aren't available. Too bad.

About the scene in the parking lot, when does it took place in the story?

Remember that the family has two vehicles: a blue truck and a silver catering van. When Lefty and Stretch follow the family to the caves, they are surprised by the van as it exits the caves. Inside the van is the Cook, Chop-Top, and Leatherface; they're going to the city for meat. When they arrive in the city, the football fans are roaming the streets trying to start trouble(like a soccer riot?). Leatherface leaps from the van and cuts off the hand of a drunken football fan. The cook tells Leatherface face that he's wasting his time because the rednecks are not good meat. They find better meat in a parking garage...

"A pack of stoned and drunk Texas TEEN-YUPS in Ralph-Lauren-Polo and Benneton outfits attack the old car from Oklahoma. They're ramming their sturdy new DATSUN-ZX into it; backing up; ramming it again. They're beating on it, breaking windows with weighted sawed-off pool cues. Etc.
They're jumping up and down on the wreckage rebel-yelling, chanting "Hook-'em-Horns!".
CLOSE ANGLE - COOK
Inside the truck, Cook's leaning over the steering wheel grinning. He's inching the truck along, eye-balling all the designer-label clothes on the TEEN-YUPS.
COOK'S POV: TEEN-YUPS
Handsome wardrobes ripple as a windshield shatters. Costly colors and rich patterns and designer trademarks all over the pack.
ANGLE - COOK, PLATEHEAD, LEATHERFACE
Cook nods around inside to the strange brothers.

COOK: Now there you go, boys. See
anything that makes your ears
wiggle? That's Quality with
a capital 'K'..."

Do you know why this piece have been deleted? Because it was too gory?

Weird is that Leatherface attacks a football fan, why? They would be noticed. The van would be seen and the fans would tell the police about it so the police could have been looking for the van.

It's not very logical seems why the family haven't been arrested. Or how would 2 men (after 1974, the cook and Leatherface) move all the stuff in the house and the bodies of the victems.

Truthfully the scene is a bit flawed. The family drives into the city along the streets, but drives inside of drain pipes to leave the city. In the script, the family was said to live in a giant maze of caves that was connected to the city's pipes. In the film, the family home was changed to a series of caverns under a memorial park, and the inner-city streets are never shown. Considering this, and then the gore, cutting the scene seems to make sense.

Why Leatherface was not worried about cutting the guy's hand off: there were a few rowdy football fans all along the street, but not many because it was very late at night. No one seemed to care because they were in a crazed mental state. The victim did not seem to care, either.

Why they weren't caught: it's possible that no one believed Sally when she told her story. Also, the family had a good chance to run, because the police probably were not nearby. The cook probably made an escape plan long before Sally came along. It seems that the family's home is temporary, as if they could leave it at any time.
