Re: TCM 2 & 3

Too bad, I have a picture of this. Give me your adres and I'll send it you. I saw it on internet, too bad I don't know the url zo I can't place it on the forum.

Do you know this. I often see this still but who is that guy behind Sally? It's not the hitchhiker because he's thinner. Who is it?

You've not watched this scene before? If not, too bad because this scene is great. It is very fast and the saw runs constantly. The man behind Sally is Leatherface. The hitch-hiker was ran over by the truck before it stopped. I wonder sometimes what happened to that black fellow...

Re: TCM 2 & 3

You've sent me a gore-filled picture. Very cool. One of Savini's goriest moments. This looks like the character that was beheaded in the car. In the version of TCM 2 that I've seen, I cannot see the chainsaw cutting apart the man's head. All I've seen is the aftermath in which blood spurts from what remains of the man's head.

I can think of two explanations:
1.) This might be an alternate or deleted part of the car scene.
2.) This might be the family's Dallas murder that was mentioned in the screenplay.

Does your TCM 2 DVD have extras?

I think that the truck driver became barbeque. The family probably killed him quickly, because this man could tell authorities what he'd seen.

I like the photo of Leatherface's dance.

My TCM 2 DVD (which I bought when I was on holiday in Ireland one week ago) was released by MGM or was it MGN? The logo of the company has a picture of a lion in the middle. I believe there aren't any other releases of this movie.

No extras, only a trailer and a chapter selection but I don't think you can consider these things as extras.

In the documantary the shocking thruth there is also footage of TCM 2 behind the scenes. Well, I could consider this as an extra for TCM 2 although it was on my TCM DVD.

You mean the MGM DVD. MGM is Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. I've seen a picture of the front cover.

I have the first US VHS release of TCM 2.

Since TCM 1 and 2 are so similar, perhaps there will be an SE or an Ultimate Edition containing both films with extras.

Did you see the SE of TCM remake? One extra feature was a documentary about Ed Gein.

The DVD of the TCM remake is released here but weird is: it's import. Where is a dutch DVD?

When I was in a rental store there were also DVDs for sale. For example the DVD TCM: A Family Portrait. Maybe I'll buy it sometimes.

That is weird. The US had two DVD versions of TCM remake released on the same day. I suppose that the DVD company streamlined the versions of TCM remake.

Maybe there is one cut and one uncut version of the remake? Or it could be a rental version which contains less extras.

(If if remember correctly) the deluxe TCM remake DVD is two discs and contains a metallic "Leatherface mask".
