TCM 2 & 3

Abbadon, I just wanna let you know I've finally seen TCM 2 & TCM 3. Here are my thoughts:

TCM 2: The first part of it was a bit lame, boring perhaps. In the first part of this movie I thought: what is this movie gonna be. But the second part was so awesome. It came back in it's original style with of course some other things. I really loved the battle between Lefty and Leatherface, this was really good!!! Also the ending, I liked it. You gave this movie 1 out of 4 I thought. I would give it 3 out of 4.

TCM 3: Pretty brutal, some scenes. I was expecting more gore because on my DVD (bought when I was in Ireland) I was able to watch the cut or the uncut version. I thought there would be lots of gore in it but this wasn't. That little girl, ow, she was like the devil. Also Viggo Mortenson was very good. The best: Ken Foree, he was awesome. I loved that scene when he was firing at the family with his machine gun. I didn't really liked the ending. Especially not when I saw the original ending, this was better I think. But although a very good TCM flick, I would give it, well, also 3 out of 4.

Glad you've got the chance to see these movies, Stefan. I was really unfair with those ratings. I've adjusted my ratings system since the reviews were done.

TCM 2: My favorite TCM sequel. Now, I rate this 5 of 10, mainly because of the first part of the movie(somewhat boring). Lefty is a really great character. If you watch only the other films of the series, you could ask "how does the family keep on killing without being caught?" Only this movie tries to answer that question. [sign in to see URL] is also Savini's effects.

TCM 3: Without Ken Foree, I'd hate this movie forever. I gave it a low rating because I don't agree with the family being changed. Otherwise, the brothers were played by decent actors. I especially liked the bald one because of how he spoke. It was good to see Foree kicking arse as only he can. Also, I did not know that there were two endings.

In the original end Benny gets killed by Leatherface in the water by pushing him with his head to the chainsaw. Tex is still alive, burned horrible to kill the girl. But the girl pushes him into a booby trap and he's dead. She smashes Leatherface with a rock and runs away. At dawn she walks on the road and a police car comes and in the back of the car you see that little evil girl and then it's over. This ending would be better I think.

There is only one thing I don't get... everyone of the family was dead after part 2... even Leatherface, if that chainsaw didn't killed him the explosion would.

EXACTLY. That is my problem with all the sequels: the family died already! Parts 3 and 4 are actually remakes and not sequels.

ALSO: IMDB reports that a TCM Prequel is in development. [sign in to see URL]

A prequel? A guess this is a prequel to the remake? Maybe you'll see what happens with the girl which shot herself in the beginning of the movie.

Ehm... do you know this: In TCM 3, after the shoot out the mother was still alive and she spoke her last words... what were they? In this scene there was also a conversation between Tex and that guy which fingers and ear were shot off... what did they said? I couldn't make it up...

It's difficult to determine what the TCM remake will be about: the original family or the remake family. I suppose that Brukheimer(sp?) still owns the rights to the TCM name, so it will likely be a prequel to the remake. I hope that they want to capture horror like the original film did. They probably also want to show Leatherface being made fun of when he was a child(because that explains everything....).

TCM 3: first question-don't remember what the mother said
second question-I remember that this sounded very cool. He said a line that I can't recall then "GET THE MEAT!"

Get the meat, yes, that was it. What after this Viggo said something, can you remember what that was? Anyway, I love TCM 3. In my opinion it's better than the remake from 2003.

I don't remember any of Viggo's lines, but I remember that he did well. He was supposed to be the slightly charming brother that turns into a lunatic before anyone notices. The guy that said "get the meat" did a good job, too.

I think TCM 3 was better than the remake as well. Though it had a great visual style, the remake went too far with all of the characters. TCM 3 kept the details to a basic level(while also adding details), used decent actors, and gave the victims a chance to fight back.

I just saw the documantary called TCN: The shocking truth. They also said sometinh about TCM 2. Then I saw they were filming a scene when a head gets destroyed with a chainsaw and I'm not meaning that scene in the car. You clearly saw the head crushing apart. But I didn't saw this scene in the movie? Where was it, was it cut out and whose head was that? When did it happen in the movie?

This must be a deleted scene. I haven't seen this or heard of it, but the screenplay mentioned several additional victims. These victims were taken from a large city(Dallas?) either in a parking garage or on the street. They were yuppies that wore knit sweaters or college jackets because they were actually visiting the city to see the big college football game. These people were killed by the family only for meat, because they had not wronged the family in any way.
