I've heard a few inklings of Diary of the Dead, but I am just a little skeptical about it. It's George-I know-but geez.
I don't think Night 2k7 is real. So yeah, I'll give out much kudos for the effort. In fact, maybe someone should run the film maker down for a few words about it. But if I ever discover that this is feature length film that had more than 1500 bucks for budget, I will be sorely disappointed. Perhaps I'll troll around for mentions of this one.
BTW: Have you seen our latest member's Runboard forum?
I think Night 3-d is happening. I thought it had wrapped actually. Yeah..just checked it has, with 3 stars on IMDB. Looks like another COTLD or Night anniversary plop to me. As for Night 2007, it is a feature, a low-budget one mind, but it looks better then this crappy Day remake.
Torture Chamber...huh? more like chamber of farts.

Re: Day REMAKE again.
Someone should donate some audio recording equipment to those Night 2k7 kids, or at least give them a microphone. Perhaps a local AM radio station should let them raid the rubbish bins. Despite that, this is what I like to see: talent and low budget. The content restrictions aren't as demanding. They can literally film anything, and who would complain unless they actually rape or murder someone? That was why I was excited to COTLD and that Australian zombie/redneck/alien film, but alas, it rarely works out.
Day remake, on the hand.... While watching the trailer, I was reminded of Battlestar: Galactica, except this film won't have the interesting and sexy alien/robots. I think it will be forgotten, too.
I would think that a chamber of farts would be torture.

I agree with you on the Night '07 guy, maybe he does need help, or financing. Sadly though I am broke, so he won't get bugger all from me but virtual love and support.
Nah..from his trailer, it looks as though he and his buddies have done brilliantly. It has the real atmospheric darkness thing going on (if that makes sense).
COTLD...Abbot hayes, leader of a Zombie army? nough said. Holy crap, land of the dead ripped that off...maybe.
As for this Day remake; that turd I let out my arse yesterday was more original.

Re: Day REMAKE again.
Yeah. Crummy sound won't stop me from watching Night 2k7. Maybe they actually need a Russo in the mix, begging for money, changing everyday local business owners into film producers. Seems that Russo wouldn't dictate content, or anything else, as long as his name appears in the film. And, he does have a claim on the original Night title, despite what studios may have paid for it.
Actually, wouldn't Big Daddy in Land have been much cooler if he had looked a bit more like Ben from Night? That would have made sense at least. Big Daddy is a communist, zombie, howling buffoon, and that goes without mentioning his ax murderer uniform. But, yes, he did lead a zombie army, which I'm still trying to forget. And yes, he did howl because his anus hurt(that was how he originally died).
There is consolation on the Day remake front, because it appears to be cheap, as well. So it, like the unfortunate Night 2k7, can only hope to premiere on the Sci-fi Channel. And many people avoid those movies. Because they always suck. Like Return 4&5. Premiered on the same night, those two crap parades, and I'm still trying to find a way to get the lost time back.

Dammit...I forgot he did that.

I would have found it funny if Abbott Hayes would have turned up in Land of the Dead, only for the dead reckoning to mow him over. And what's this about Big Daddy's anal pangs?
As for those crappy 'return' spin-offs. So far I have been lucky enough to have been able to avoid then. Too bad I couldn't stay away from Coltd and the night anniversary. Though for their humour..they are classics.

Re: Day REMAKE again.
I must agree there. Though I too hate COTLD, I had to share it with friends that appreciate crap cinema. Wonderful laugh fest. An 8 or 9 star comedy. It's right up there with Dolemite on my list.
Beware that Return 4 and 5, while sucking, sadly lack humorous mistakes, and bored me to tears.
About Abbot Hayes: there is a lead zombie in The Dead Hate The Living that looks exactly him. I haven't heard anything, but really, there must be a connection. It's only notable because the other lead zombie is an homage to the boat zombie in the opening sequence of Zombie 2. So it makes one think that the Abbot Hayes ripoff must be an homage, too, and I think this lunacy should be confirmed. We must quarantine!
Big Daddy's Anal Pangs: Big Daddy is a stupid name. No, I don't think the name appears in the movie, but it's no less shi##y. He may have been a porn star during his living years. Regardless, I believe that he had been sodomized by Kaufman before death. Only that can explain why he entered Fiddler's Green, seeking only Kaufman. This theory also sheds light on why Riley, and others wanted out. Rebuilding society, or maintaining the facade of a false one is entirely different than allowing oneself to be subjected to vicious anal attack.

Re: Day REMAKE again.
Google got paid off by Russo!
Check this one out: http://www.illegal-art.org/print/index.html#consumer
Maybe he did pay them off...who knows how much influence he has.Perhaps tommorrow you'll get a knock at the door, open it and then find yourself at the bottom of a river. Be scared of Wusso, er, I mean Russo.
Consumer whore indeed...Cool link..I love some of that design. just wish i could do stuff like that myself, but alas have much to learn.

Re: Day REMAKE again.
That was scary. I thought maybe I was threatening myself. Bizarre. But no, I think Russo and the other members of the Pittsburgh BBS club couldn't even manage to hack into their own forums-the ones stored on the servers in Bill Hinzman's crawlspace.
I've some ideas for some illegal art, but then the horse tries to walk away....
