Day REMAKE again.

I don't know what's happening here. There was Day: Contagium, which was supposedly uber-low budget and has also supposedly debuted on the Sci-Fi Channel(also known as hell). But now there's another and it may, perhaps unscrupulously, borrow on the success of Dawn remake. You see, it will have Ving Rhames. Call him MISTER zombie film remake.

Worse yet, it appears this turd film has at least TEN producers. So, in theory, most of it's second week take at the box office(assuming it arrives in theaters and does as well as Dawn remake) would cover the producer's salaries. I'd like to meet the group of talented writers, cast and crew that need ten producers to get the job done. Script probably sucks. Director probably sucks. Locations probably suck. Make-up probably sucks. Sound guy is tone deaf. Director of Photography doubles as caterer. Yes, I might be wrong about this. At least Rubenstein doesn't seem to get a producer cred. Or John Harrison. To think, it took TEN producers to say, "hey, let's do a remake". Or did it take only one who then decided to include his nine roomates...

But I could go for this, if it were done properly(and it won't be), only because the original film seems to have been largely ignored by the world. Then again, the original film wasn't even the film George really wanted. So, how about a re-do?

emoticon Whoopy-!@#$. I don't care, let em' make the movie. Christ, I've grown out of all this 'of the dead' lark. I like all the original films for sure, but as I've got older, have found there are better films more to my taste. See 'OH Lucky Man!' - my case in point.

I'm fed up of whining like we did with the Dawn 04 remake. Man, we were pissed. But alas, the film was great entertainment, just as hollywood does best. Independent is thinking man's film, hollywood not. Expect blood, guts and boobies. Just enjoy it, dude. emoticon

Ah, but another complaint. Dawn remake needed more boobies. Anyways, there's all of my energy as regards to remakes.

Time to move on to whatever...

Anybody want to remake Knightriders?

And unfortunately, they don't seem to want to include George. Like Uwe Boll said about House of the Dead: "this is how we do it now".

I'm sure it won't be too bad. A remake now, two years after the dawn remake sounds pretty awesome. Depending on whose behind it that is.

P.s. Sorry I ain't been around for a while Mike. Bit busy. And hello to our new member.

...gayness

:Update:That isn't so gay anymore. I woke after a few hours rest to discover that birdflu has turned up on my doorstep; well 30 miles aways. I may die soon. emoticon Although, this could end up like Dawn of the Dead, so, er...cool. Just kidding.

In case anyone happens to be looking for Alex, it seems he and his countrymen have "snuffed it" thanks to the bird flu. It was bound to happen sometime. Really, it was either this or domestic terrorism that would get them, and at least this way they could blame God in the moments before their lungs filled with mucus.

It's quite unfortunate, but things must go own. As an example of Alex's sense of style, I humbly point out his last post regarding the Day Of The Dead remake.

It looks like a low budget, teen style of film depicting teens in a situation that is at once much like 28 Days Later or the Dawn remake, but with obvious similarities to The Crazies. I would try to make a point about the military kids being in a situation that looks very much like the current peace keeping mission in Iraq, but that would give the film too much credit for a lucky shot, seeing as how the current world situation didn't crop up overnight and won't go away when the zombies are gone.

If anyone knows how to delete a forum's creator/admin, let me know. Because, frankly, the memories are so painful that I can't bear to see the name "Alex" pasted around here. And for posterity, let's not mention him anymore.

But otherwise, feel free to continue using the Dead Rekindled Forums(copyright pending).

Oh sod the Day remake....check this out - low budget reimagining of NOTLD for 2007...
This actually looks as though it could work.
Congrats to the guy (Reese Eveneshen) who's making it, this looks awesome.

Actually, everyone has already forgotten Night 3d, because it'll probably never be available.

I've heard a few inklings of Diary of the Dead, but I am just a little skeptical about it. It's George-I know-but geez.

I don't think Night 2k7 is real. So yeah, I'll give out much kudos for the effort. In fact, maybe someone should run the film maker down for a few words about it. But if I ever discover that this is feature length film that had more than 1500 bucks for budget, I will be sorely disappointed. Perhaps I'll troll around for mentions of this one.

BTW: Have you seen our latest member's Runboard forum? emoticon
