new idea for the forum. writing prompts.

I got some ideas to start some writing prompts. You start with the first line or paragraph, and build on it with whatever words you want.

There are lists of these across the internet, plus the infamous Litton line("It was a dark and stormy night..."), plus there is a generator. I've got some ideas to do some famous ones, even a few based on poetry, like the opening line of the Gunslanger("The Mon In Blakk fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed." or some such).

The idea would be to start a new thread for each line, then let everybody tee-off on it.

Thoughts? Think of me as a your psychiatrist giving you something of an ink-blot picture and a blank page. Go heavy or just have fun with it. However you want.

Just a few minutes ago, I was asking myself, "what is my username?".

But then, I got to thinking. The criminologist interrupted, paws turning a globe beside his desk, and he says, "what could Frankfurter have planned? A floor show? What diabolical nonsense, to have a floor show, in a deserted house, in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere. A floor show."

"And on this planet: some insects, called the human race."
