Concert experiences
What was your first concert experice like? What was your best and worst show and who did you see?
My first and worst was Mazzy Star at the Black Cat in D.C. 1996. My cousin wanted to see them because the last time they were there Hope stormed off the stage complaining of a sore throat. So four years later, same place and a few songs into the set it happens again. Needless to say we were pissed.
I think the Tool show I saw this past August was the best so far. It was my first time seeing them live and I wasn't disappointed. It was the most visually stimulating show that I have ever been to. Well, Manson's Dead to the World Tour is a close second.

Re: Concert experiences
My first and worst concert experience was when I was 7 I think. It was some 80's Canadian band playing at West Edmonton Mall to try and get their album sold.
Best concert was the last one I went to. Saw Fischerspooner at The Commadore. Casey Spooner put on a crazy show with wicked stage effects and performance art. Then after the show he came down to the bar to chat with Michael Stipe and the bass player for R.E.M., I got to shoot the !@#$ with them. Casey is the coolest guy on the planet!

Re: Concert experiences
Techinally my first concert was back in 1980 I believe, My grandmother took me to a Marty Robbins concert, a country singer...but I was only a year old at the time
More recently my first real concert was in 2001 with The Pleadge of Alligence Tour with Rammstein, System of a Down and Slipknot...that concert rocked!!
My favorite would have to be Tool in 2001...the visuals where amazing there, I wished I could get my hands on some of that footage that they played...that would be awesome...

Re: Concert experiences
I aint been to any concerts, just gigs really as we call them here in the UK. And the one's I've been to aren't really big named bands or anything. It's hard to get tickets for concerts in the UK, they sell out withing a couple of hours. I tried to get tickets for this years Glastenbury Festival, but in the end was put off by the ammount of rich toff bastards that ruin these events. There is only a few bands that I'd really like to see live, these are; Depeche Mode, Boards of Canada. I'm not really into rock music as it's takin a bit of a downfall since this Nu-metal thing kicked in about two years ago. The music that I want to hear live rarely play live, it's a shame really. I wouldn't be surprised if I go to London to SOAD in a year or so though.

Re: Concert experiences
I was at Pledge. I wasn't able to get floor ticket but, I did manage to get really close seats. They had to be pushed back though because of Rammstine. During SOAD they had a film show in the background, some of it had bits and pieces of anime and horror movies in it. I noticed they included some Day of they Dead durning needles. And Joey's drum solo kicked ass!
